Jones Studio President Neal Jones returned to his alma mater last Friday, May 31st to attend the biannual meeting of the Oklahoma State University College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology Strategic Advisory Council.
Founded with the mission of continually improving the College through the expertise of industry leaders, the Strategic Advisory council is composed of senior executives from around the United States appointed to the council to advise the Dean of the College on strategic planning, and give their insight into change and direction in the fields of engineering, architecture, and technology. The interdisciplinary membership promotes professional synergy and provides collaborative perspectives to help advance the mission of the University and the College.
This meeting, held on the OSU Tulsa, Oklahoma campus, covered the annual College research update and the impact of higher education in the state.
Neal was appointed to the council in 2018, and is also an inductee of the CEAT’s Hall of Fame, as well as a recipient of the Melvin R. Lohmann Medal for lifetime achievement, the highest honor bestowed by the college.
Neal’s position on the Strategic Advisory Council is one of many ways Jones Studio members give back to education and rising members of the architectural professions.
